JOB SUMMARY

This job maintains appropriate security access throughout the Allegheny Health Network. Liaises with Highmark security where access impacts both AHN and Highmark facilities. Assists in security oversight of the AHN employee ID program. Maintains knowledge of security as well as appropriate regulatory requirements (JC, DOH, CMS, etc.) regarding ID badging requirements for medical staff personnel. Creates and maintains reports and participates on multi-functional teams where security access input is vital. Requires basic understanding and knowledge of financial reporting (OPEX and CAPEX), contracts and agreements relating to multiple security activities.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate security access operations ensuring that security access procedures are implemented and followed.
  • Coordinate security access with Highmark security.
  • Maintain working relationship with talent acquisition and hospital security personnel to train and ensure the employee ID badge systems and policies are being followed.
  • Assist in the implementation of project related security strategies, and security policies/standards.
  • Maintain close links with human resources to ensure that all projects are implemented with the highest degree of staff safety and security.

SKILLS

  • Understanding of regulatory requirements in the medical care giver environment, to assure AHN's full compliance with all regulations (JC, DOH, CMS, etc.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment in security operations and information management skills
  • Ability to interact and work independently, with minimal ongoing supervision
  • High standard of computer literacy and an excellent knowledge of security information
  • High degree of responsibility, initiative, and the ability to prioritize a heavy workload and to delegate accordingly
