Security Dispatcher

Department: Security

Job Title: Security Dispatcher

General Definition: Dispatch all requests for assistance at a facility level concerning all daily operations. Alert Security Officers, facility personnel, and the management team through proper radio channels of facility needs.

Supervision Received: Security Dispatch Shift Supervisor

Supervision Exercised: None

Essential Job Functions:

  • Will dispatch all facility personnel to include but not limited to Lighthorse Police, emergency medical, and local fire department as requested by the security or management team.
  • Contact Security Officers by radio of any alerts received through the casino based software system including top prize payouts, machine tilt, machine open, or patron requesting assistance.
  • Record all Security employee call-ins and submit to proper security management.
  • Will log all dispatch calls (incoming/outgoing) and or electronic alerts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of departmental rules, guidelines, and policies.
  • Must be able to work various hours as needed, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite able to type twenty-five (25) words per minute and work on a computer for at least two (2) continuous hours at a time.
  • Must be able to quickly define problems and quickly communicate emergency situations.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
  • May be required to lift/carry up to 50 lbs based on facility needs.
  • Have good communication skills and work successfully in a team environment.
  • Must be 21 years of age to carry firearm and/or taser; may be required to carry firearm and/or taser.

Work Environment:

  • Must be able to work in a confined/controlled environment.
  • Must be able to work in fast paced, noisy, smoke filled casino environment.
  • Ability to work in environment not necessarily protected from weather and temperature changes with exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid or windy weather conditions for long periods of time.

Training and Experience:

  • Six (6) months of dispatch service (preferred).
  • Prior experience in Security preferred, Law Enforcement and Military a plus.
  • Knowledge of the gaming industry is also a plus.

Licenses/Certifications/Other:

  • Must be able to become C.L.E.E.T. phases 1, & 2 certified (completing prerequisite course and state exam) within 6 months of employment. Training will be provided.
  • May be required to become C.L.E.E.T. phase 4 certified based upon the business needs, and may be required to carry a firearm as directed by departmental guidelines and needs of the facility. Training will be provided.
  • All Phase 4 certified officers will be required to re-qualify and meet the departmental guidelines. Training will be provided.
  • Must become TASER certified and may be required to carry within 1 month of employment based upon business needs. Training will be provided.
  • Must be able to pass background checks and receive a gaming license from the Chickasaw Nation Office of the Gaming Commissioner as required to work in gaming operations.
  • Must be able to complete pre-employment drug test with a negative result.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
