Job Description

  • Perform complex structural assembly on aircraft, including mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and system installations.
  • Troubleshoot and repair aircraft mechanical components and non-complex electrical systems.
  • Modify and repair aircraft structures using specialized tools and techniques (e.g., match drilling, riveting, fastener installation).
  • Operate precision tools such as torque wrenches, micrometers, cable tensiometers, and sheet metal brakes.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, process specs, and technical orders.
  • Work with high-hazard chemicals and comply with safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of on-aircraft heavy structural experience.
  • 5+ years in an MRO, Repair Station, AOG, or Travel MODS environment.
  • 5+ years of experience in aircraft assembly/disassembly.
  • 2+ years of composites experience (preferred).
  • 2+ years of Velocity and Radar experience (preferred).
  • Strong ability to identify and use common aircraft tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Work Schedule: Ability to work variable shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift/carry 10-35 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, standing, twisting, reaching, and climbing.
  • Work with high-impact vibratory tools (bucking/riveting).
  • Exposure to high noise levels, chemicals, and confined spaces.
