We are looking for a detail-oriented senior accountant to perform and coordinate accounting duties within our organization. The senior accountant's responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.
To be successful as a senior accountant, you should have a solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and strong financial analysis skills. An outstanding senior accountant should also possess strong Excel skills, be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work with little to no supervision and perform under pressure.

Lead and execute monthly close accounting for several general ledger functions and international subsidiaries

Calculate and record entries for revenue, prepaids, fixed assets, payroll, accruals, and intercompany transactions

Reconcile and/or roll-forward balance sheet accounts

Serve as the business unit subject matter expert for general accounting processes, complex accounting solutions, and provide training and guidance to junior staff where needed

Assist with the review and processing of bi-weekly multi-state payrolls

Oversee the processing and recording of daily transactions, accounts payable and revenue recognition

Contribute to efforts to develop and implement policies and procedures that streamline accounting processes

Collaborate with management, department personnel, and cross-functional teams on general ledger accounting issues

Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external customers

Contribute to year-end filings, audit, and tax preparation by providing requested documentation and analysis

Manage special projects and provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA and public accounting experience a plus

3-4 years of relevant accounting work experience required

Experience in Tech and Manufacturing industries preferred

Multi entity experience preferred

Strong foundation in general accounting, monthly close, financial reporting and GAAP concepts

Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word and Outlook

Proficient advanced Excel skills (Vlookup’s, pivot tables, etc) to manage large volumes of data

NetSuite and Quickbooks experience a plus

Desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing startup environment

Ability to pay strict attention to detail, with a commitment to deliver quality and accurate work products on a timely basis
