Senior Analyst, Data Analytics, Managed Care Services Healthcare Consulting

Join Our Managed Care Services (MCS) Division

Our MCS Division guides clients through payer strategy development, reimbursement analysis and design, contract negotiations, and other strategic and operational issues affecting commercial and government revenue streams. As part of our team, you’ll help our clients optimize their managed care portfolios and develop successful value-based reimbursement strategies and contracts.

Our MCS engagements include work with inpatient, outpatient, professional, behavioral health, post-acute, and other payers. We assist clients primarily in the three areas:

Contracting and Reimbursement

Our Contracting and Reimbursement practice is an industry leader on healthcare payment reform and accountable care strategies for large, complex healthcare organizations, including major health systems and provider-owned health plans. We help our clients:

Develop innovative payment approaches.
Negotiate contracts.
Devise reimbursement strategies.
Improve revenues.

Value- and Risk-Based Payment Programs

We offer our clients comprehensive value- and risk-based payment program development services, including planning, implementing, and optimizing value-enhancing care models. Common projects include:

Value-based readiness assessments and payment design.
Care model and reimbursement strategy.
Medicare Shared Savings Program, ACO Reach, or commercial accountable care organization development.
Clinically integrated or regional affiliate network development.
Assistance with Medicaid managed care program participation.
Patient-centered medical home transformation.
Population health service organization establishment.
Support for participation in grant-funded or governmental programs.

Payer Services

Our Payer Services practice advises traditional and provider-owned insurance companies in areas such as:

Commercial insurance.
Medicare Advantage.
Medicaid managed care.
Third-party administrator services.
Provider network performance.

Your Opportunity with ECG: Senior Analyst

As a senior analyst at ECG, you’ll be an important part of our consulting team. Not only will you partner with some of the industry’s best to reach your highest goals, but you will also make a real difference in people’s lives and grow personally and professionally while doing so. Your Responsibilities May Include:

Conducting research and gathering data from national surveys, proprietary research, client interviews, industries, markets, etc.
Building flexible, dynamic financial models to forecast trends, preparing scenarios for strategic planning, and/or allocating corporate resources.
Enhancing existing models and capabilities built using SQL.
Performing complex analyses on big data, including data cleaning, preparing, and interpreting.
Analyzing data collected from clients and building relational databases using a Microsoft SQL server.
Reviewing and compiling financial statements for analyzing historical trends.
Assisting with report preparation documenting analyses.
Developing and maintaining productive working relationships with team members and client personnel.

Our Expectations of You

A bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, business, or a related degree that relies heavily on critical thinking, logic, and math
Three to five years of experience working in healthcare and with SQL
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the overall modeling process
Work experience and/or high-impact internships
High-quality analytical and problem-solving skills
Superb verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment and fully self-manage work time and the overall project timeline
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability and willingness to travel, as required

Job Locations

Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Minneapolis, San Diego, Seattle, St. Louis, or Washington, DC. Able to work a hybrid schedule with days in office and remote.
