WE LOVE OUR WORK.:
- Identifies opportunities to improve wellness initiatives. Presents opportunities to Manager for consideration.

Assists with facilitation and tracking of leave of absences and has familiarity with filing life/disability claims to effectively partner with PENN Entertainment vendor partners.

Partners with Manager, carriers, and Internal Communications to create monthly education campaigns that include but are not limited to the production of print, video, email, online content, and/or pre-shift communications to educate team members on how to live healthier and utilize the benefits available to them. Measures the success rate and effectiveness of each campaign completed. Audits benefits-related payroll deductions to ensure accuracy with participant elections.

Audits and analyzes service provider & carrier invoices for accuracy.
- Reviews claim & health data to identify opportunities for improving Team Member wellness.

Monitors benefits-related expenses, utilization, & activities and recommends improvement opportunities.

Participates in annual non-discrimination testing, the 401(k) audit, and Form 5500 filing.

Partners with HR leadership team to communicate arrears amounts to Team Members prior to and upon return from leaves of absences.

Develops processes to gather data in a timely, accurate, and consistent manner.

Identifies current benefit trends and compliance updates and cross references those trends and update against current PENN Entertainment offerings. Makes recommendations for improvement based upon findings.

Approves communication vehicles to distribute key operating metrics and analytical findings.

Assists in preparing the annual budget and monthly forecast.
- Assists in the development of presentations for budget meetings and operational reviews.

Prepares ad-hoc and routine monthly reporting.

Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.

Responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and acts within the area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or related field from a four-year college or university and 2 years related experience in a benefits role; or four to 6 years related experience within a similar benefits role; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Advanced understanding of benefit regulations and compliance requirements.
-
Must have technical proficiency and knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook). Must have knowledge of benefit enrollment platforms and human capital management programs. Advanced technical proficiency and knowledge of Alight and UKG preferred.
- Must be able to work under pressure of short time constraints and meet assigned deadlines.

Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently, balance multiple projects and processes simultaneously.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Must have strong analytical skills.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from key internal stakeholders, vendor partners, property level and corporate level employees, as well as the public.

Must have the ability to interact on cross-functional teams and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

Must be detail-oriented and able to manage time and resources on multiple projects with competing timelines.
- May be required to travel up to 5% a year.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English are also required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
