This position performs circulation desk and reference duties. Processes Interlibrary Loan requests.Assists with basic information and research needs; Responds to associates basic queries in-person and by telephone regarding circulation statuses, policies and procedures. Refers more complex reference questions to librarians.Attends to the day to day operations of the circulation desk: Implements library procedures and enforces policies on the use of materials, checks items in and out, registers new associates, troubleshoots photocopier, printers, PCs, laptops & iPads. Prepares mobile devices for circulation. Loads printers and photocopier with paper, changes ink cartridges. Answers, screens and refers incoming telephone calls.
Education/Skills:
High School Diploma/GED.
Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills, detailed-oriented, ability to work independently.
