The Sr. Client Implementation Setup Analyst is responsible for communicating with Sales, Consultants or Brokers to understand the largest and most complex clients’ benefits purchase and for onboarding the client on to our benefit platform. This includes new sales, renewal changes, cancellations and maintenance of the client’s complex account setup. The Sr. Client Implementation Analyst investigates and resolves complex client setup issues.

  • Oversee and analyze the installation of a new client onto our benefit platform, including customer requirements.
  • Document issues or tasks and work closely with Sales to meet customer expectations.
  • Serve as an expert on group set-up including structure and system limitations. Set up groups in the group and benefits administration systems, including medical, pharmacy, dental, and vision benefits.
  • Communicate with Sales or Brokers to understand the client’s benefits purchase and execute the setup. Develop and maintain a strong business relationship with the internal customers of the IBC Family of Companies, including but not limited to, Underwriting, Sales, Marketing, Enrollment, Customer Service, and any other areas involved in the process. Responsible for implementation of new groups, benefit changes, and cancellations.
  • May participate in on-site visits to new employer groups and administrators to explain the set-up process,
  • Research and troubleshoot benefits and any other issues related to group set-up. Represent Client Implementation team in cross-functional internal and vendor meetings.
  • Clearly and accurately communicate requirements and direction to all impacted operational areas, including setting expectations on timeframes.
  • May develop new capabilities for the department in conjunction with other departments and vendors.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

This position spends about 75% of its time performing New Client Installations and the remaining 25% handling renewal tasks.

  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare products, benefits and systems.
  • Proven effectiveness in managing to project targets and deadlines. Demonstrated effective project management skills necessary.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Flexibility and adaptability are a must.
  • Willingness to be cross-trained is required to assist other team members.
  • Strong communications skills required – position interacts with all levels of management and possibly external clients as well.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills are required. Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment without supervision.
  • Knowledge of systems, process flows, regulatory impacts and timelines to ensure requirements and implementation are in compliance across operational disciplines.
  • Must be strong problem-solver and be able to follow-up and take an issue to resolution.
  • Strong critical thinking skills

Independence has implemented a “Hybrid of Choice” model which provides our associates with the flexibility to choose whether to work remotely, work in the office every day, or work in the office on certain days at their discretion. However, management may require our associates to work from Independence’s physical office locations on certain occasions. This role is designated as a role that fits into the “Hybrid of Choice” model. While associates may work remotely, the work must be performed in the Tri-State Area of Delaware, New Jersey or Pennsylvania.
