We’re looking for a content writer to join our growing Marketing team. Working closely with Content Marketing, Product Marketing, and Demand Generation, you will play a critical role in bringing the Socotra story to life. From concept to execution, you’ll lead the creation of a broad spectrum of content that establishes us as a thought leaders and has a meaningful impact on our business.
Requirements
- 6+ years of relevant work experience, preferably for insurance, technology, or B2B companies
- Proven excellence across a variety of written content, with a focus on delivering and being measured by results (brand awareness, social proof, education, click-through, and lead conversion)
- Quickly grasps technical or business concepts and can translate them into a clear, meaningful, and actionable message
- Comfortable switching tone and context for the specific audience and marketing asset (think social copy for a LinkedIn recruiting post versus an in-depth white paper for C-level insurance executives)
- Experience with social media platforms, WordPress, SEO, Hubspot, and project management systems
Things You'll Work On
- Blend storytelling and data to develop high-impact marketing assets from authoritative white papers and blog posts to engaging social media posts and emails
- Build customer-first content that empathizes with the pain points of our audience, distills complex topics into easy-to-understand language, and drives conversions and leads
- Collaborate with the Marketing team, subject matter experts, and senior executives to ideate breakthrough content and ensure accurate messaging and timely approvals
- Manage our social media calendar to maintain a steady drumbeat of community engagement
- Strategize with our PR firm to create high-profile communications, earned media, and more
- Work closely with our graphic designer to brainstorm and execute visually-led content like infographics and videos
- Research insurance technology topics and trends to develop authoritative and insightful thought leadership
- Explore and evolve our style guide and consistently implement our brand voice across all assets
