We are looking for a talented, self-motivated DevOps Team Manager to join our expanding engineering team in San Francisco. As a key member of the engineering team, you will help build, evolve, and scale our cloud infrastructure to drive developer productivity and speed of innovation. We are a cloud-native company, and we pride ourselves on using modern cloud orchestration tools and technologies out there.

This will initially be a small team (3-5 engineers), so the expectation is that you will spend a significant amount of your time hands-on, at least in the first year.

We are looking for someone who has:

• You have at least 3 years of experience building and managing a high-performing Devops team for a SaaS product
• Experience managing a group that’s highly interrupt-driven
• Strong cross-team collaboration skills
• You have 3+ years of experience building, operating, and maintaining production cloud infrastructure in AWS
• You have 2+ years of experience using Terraform/CloudFormation in production.
• You are intimately familiar with containerization technologies like Docker & Kubernetes, and have built and/or operated a production Kubernetes cluster
• You have expertise with monitoring application health and performance and alerting based on the same
• You are familiar with best practices for incident response for production outages
• You are familiar with best practices for security incident response

Bonus Points:

• You have used various log aggregation technologies such as Splunk/Loggly/ELK stack
• You have experience deploying microservices in a cloud environment
• You have experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, JenkinsX, CircleCI, and others
• Experience in a multi-cloud environment AWS/GCP/Azure
• Implementing RBAC/Security across the stack
• Knowledge of security landscape as it applies to SAAS applications
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 security certification and security best practices
• Knowledge of security implementations in a public cloud
• You have experience with a service mesh like Istio or Linkerd

You'll really impress us if you:

• Can describe how you managed to keep long-term plans on track while also keeping up with emerging production issues.
• Have built tools that were used by other developers in the organization to increase productivity
• Have open source contributions or work samples/blog posts of the things you’ve built in the past

This position can be based in San Francisco or remote and includes salary and equity commensurate with experience and location.
