Overview

Big Fish Games is looking for a senior creative marketing strategist with experience in conceptualizing and developing mobile gaming ad creative, to lead the creative strategy and execution for all performance-led assets.

In this role, you will partner closely with the user acquisition, brand and product marketing to build and optimize creative assets that deliver best-in-class KPIs. You will build and manage UA creative frameworks, drive UA creative demand, unlock new growth opportunities through creative improvements and innovations across our casual portfolio.

Reporting into the Director, Creative Services, the ideal candidate has a design background, is a performance oriented, visual thinker and strong creative skills. With your superior communication skills and positive attitude, you will maintain strong partnerships with our interdisciplinary internal teams while maintaining our fast pace and high quality.

What You'll Do

Cross functional excellence

  • Collaborate with our Performance Marketing team and lead the creative team to develop and execute creative strategies that drive acquisition, engagement, and retention
  • Establish our marketing design capability, enabling high-performing results, and optimization across performance marketing channels and any and all other digital touchpoints
  • Champion strategic and creative excellence that breaks molds and delivers industry leading creative executions
  • Work closely with Brand Marketing & Product Marketing, User Acquisition and the Development Teams to deliver high quality assets, create brand consistency
  • Work with the producers to navigate the complexities and demands of multiple teams with conflicting priorities
  • Deliver against critical metrics, provide actionable creative insights, and accurately reflect our brand across all channels and platforms
  • Hands-on creation of performance assets while also collaborating with freelancers and creative agencies to deliver impactful creative assets across all touchpoints
  • Continuously seek out opportunities to challenge, improve, and refine our creative execution

Mobile Gaming Ad Creative Excellence

  • Keen observer of mobile gaming ad creative ecosystem, competitor landscape and industry knowledge
  • Able to learn adapt to casual gaming ad trends and innovate in concept and execution
  • Deep knowledge of UA creative best practices and trends across all channels
  • Creative Testing experience - experiments to test hypotheses and generate insights
  • Driven by ad creativity but decision making informed by performance data
  • Understanding of digital formats and the ability to overcome limitations whilst thinking outside of the box
  • Creatively leading the performance marketing/Always On/Conversion and retention creative, working from briefs from the marketing team; This would include paid social, display, programmatic display and CRM ensuring these are strategically and creatively connected to the wider campaign where relevant.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of Sr. graphic design experience or equivalent
  • 3+ years of mobile gaming ad creative concepting and innovation
  • Ability to generate creative solutions and engaging designs quickly, to test and learn.Managing, inspiring and leading a team of creatives and designers.
  • Strong communicator and exceptional ability to take complex information and simplify into easily digestible material.
  • Proficient in copywriting for performance marketing.
  • A solid knowledge of social, paid media, CRM, data and analytics.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects/ multi-task.
  • Knowledge of the Mobile App ecosystem and User Acquisition ad creation.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, etc.).
  • Experience with JIRA and Airtable productivity tools.
  • Excited about gaming and familiar with the process of launching and sustaining games in the marketplace.
