Position Overview:
As a DevOps engineer at DrFirst, you get the challenging, yet rewarding task of taking our products and scaling them. We are a passionate, entrepreneurial, and curious team that is constantly experimenting and learning and will expect you to as well.
In this role, you will be the in-house expert on building reliable and maintainable DevOps systems to scale. You will work closely with the product and analytics teams to define and implement the necessary infrastructure, services, and procedures to maintain an efficiently working set of reliable high availability systems.

What you will work on:
You will oversee development, test, UAT, and production environments for our products. Key aspects of this role include automation, configuration management and tools development while collaborating with the engineering team on projects/products as expert on reliability, performance and efficiency.

Deploy, automate, maintain, and manage systems ensuring high availability, performance and scalability

Design and implement cloud solutions to support continuous delivery and continuous integration processes

Periodically assess all monitoring requirements and implement necessary enhancements to meet changing/growing business needs

Work with senior leaders to developer complex, enterprise-level initiatives that are part of company's overall strategic direction

Tune and troubleshoot full-stack software applications using OOPS, Java, web-services, Oracle DB, Mongo DB, networks concepts and virtualization techniques (Kubernetes)

Proactively review, recommend and implement changes to the live infrastructure after ensuring the right validation has been carried out

Provide scripted solutions to special projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (Master’s preferred)

Five (5) years of experience working in software development

Experience with building CI / CD

Experience with Kubernetes - deployments, configuration maps and secrets - networking services and ingress controllers (AWS specific)

Experience with Jenkins installation and configuration including creation and maintenance of jobs

Experience working with Docker containers: building, maintaining, debugging

Familiarity with technology tools such as ELK, Confluence, JIRA and Jenkins

Self-motivated and technically curious

Ability to work independently and prioritize competing priorities
