As a Senior Director, B2B Strategy & Planning, you will lead the digital thought leadership and data-driven go-to-market strategies for our client while collaborating with Business Development and Client Experience to drive client growth. This is a fully remote role, and you can be located anywhere in the United States.

This is a great opportunity to lead a team of strategists and planners across a variety of B2B industries and be considered a digital thought leader and data-driven designer of our clients' global account strategy.

In this role you will be responsible for setting the team standard for identifying business objectives for key B2B clients, mining research and data sources to build an insight-based strategy is actionable in the media plan and drives client results in activation. You will collaborate with the cross-functional client experience and media team to build robust, holistic digital solutions inclusive of Programmatic, Search, Social and Video, as well as Data and Audience Strategy, Measurement Plans, and Advanced Analytics. In this role, you can synthesize and translate brand and consumer trends into simple frameworks to build strong digital activation strategies. You need to be a fiercely collaborative partner who relentlessly pursues the ideal solution that mutually benefits the brand and customer.

Who You Are:

  • Experienced: You have 12+ years of experience in B2B digital media strategy and planning at an agency, working with start ups as well as enterprise brands, in a variety of different B2B verticals.
  • A Leader: You can lead people in a test and learn, problem-solving environment where the expectation is to drive your knowledge through others, fail fast, learn quickly and apply findings.
  • An Expert: You will be an expert in B2B strategy, planning and measurement, including having proven experience consulting clients on ABM strategy, ad tech and martech. You have a record of accomplishment in leading media strategy for a variety of clients and have overseen media billings >$50mm. You are a student of the industry, staying current with industry trends and emerging opportunities and can identify how to apply this knowledge in an actionable way through client problem-solving.
  • Technical: You have a strong aptitude for analysis and developing results-driven media planning forecasts and projections for a variety of client types, and can advise clients on measurement frameworks for short and long term life cycles
  • Performance-Driven: You have a strong understanding of both awareness and direct response/performance marketing metrics and can align client expectations and educate on a measurement strategy that is applicable to the client business problem being solved.
  • A Strong Communicator: You have strong written, verbal, and presentation skills and are a storyteller through the work. You can easily represent innovative ideas to a group, internally and externally. You have an unclouded vision of where you are going and how to bring people along as you go.
  • Client-centric: You consistently champion a client and consumer-centric view within your team and their approach to their work and have proven experience landing and advising VP and C—level clients.

What You Will Do:

  • Oversee a team of strategists and planners who are responsible for developing responses to briefs, media plans and forecasts where applicable.
  • Advise B2B clients on end-to-end marketing solutions
  • Coach and lead direct reports to their personal goals.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring that the strategies that are being developed directly address the client challenge, and teach the team to develop and provide strong rationale behind all strategies and decisions.
  • Be an escalation point for your team's work and identify opportunities to fortify or adjust the plan before it is presented to the client.
  • You will personally work on decks at times, walking the walk – not just talking the talk.
  • Be a leader in developing the measurement framework to hold our strategies accountable
  • Ensure strategies are grounded in data with a cross-channel lens
  • You will act as a leader in behavior and be commercially minded to support driving Goodway's growth
  • Clearly and confidently communicate recommendations and ideas in a way that gains trust and buy-in from key client stakeholders, and the ability to navigate tense client and agency partner situations with ease.
  • Work with Research to map and improve the current customer experience and path to purchase, frame initial audiences and personas, concept learning goals and testing plans, and generate insight on their audience and business investment.
  • Maintain working knowledge of client's business with a thorough understanding of client's products/services, strategic roadmap, vision, needs, and challenges so that marketing and advertising problems and opportunities may be anticipated.
  • Proactively stay up to date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and new media platforms.
