Our Stack


  • We build all of our tools on top of Google Cloud Platform
  • We’re big believers in Typescript and Javascript. We hope you are too
  • Python is used for our data extraction and our multi-tool
  • React is our front end of choice. We use Tailwind to keep the UI looking sharp


What You’ll Do


  • Lead and manage a small team of engineers
  • Develop and maintain engineering processes and standards to improve productivity and code quality in a lean startup environment
  • Collaborate with product management and other key stakeholders to deliver products on time and meet business objectives
  • Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring that projects are completed within scope and on time, with a focus on iterating and shipping quickly
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team, including code reviews and technical design/decision making
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize engineering processes and practices
  • Actively participate in the recruitment and hiring of excellent engineering talent fit for a fast-paced startup environment


What You’ll Need 


This position is perfect for someone with management experience working with early-stage startups. Ideal candidates will also have healthcare and telehealth/RTC. In addition, you’ll need:


  • 5-8 years of experience in software engineering, with 3+ years in a management role
  • Experience working with early-stage startups is a plus, but not required
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proven track record of delivering products within scope and on time
  • Experience in Agile methodologies, with a strong bias toward action
  • Experience in recruiting and hiring engineering talent for startups, with a focus on identifying candidates who are a good fit for a fast-paced startup environment
  • Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript (We use React)
  • Able to cover NYC hours give or take 1 timezone
  • High energy, self-direction, stamina, and possessing a strong work ethic
  • Ability to build small, tolerate tech debt, and move fast.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Bonus points if you know Google Cloud Platform and have worked with big data, event streaming, and lambda architectures. Also if you’ve worked with WebRTC!

 

*The annual base salary range for this role is $180,000 - $200,000, and offers would include competitive equity.
