The Senior Financial Analyst partners with corporate accounting and regional peers to assist in the management of financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis. We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategically minded person to join our Corporate FP&A team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare regional and sector monthly financial statements in a timely and accurate manner. Continuously looking for opportunities to optimize the process to gain efficiencies.
- Perform account analysis and reconciliations during the month end close process.
- Prepare monthly G&A reporting package including standard reports and variance commentary.
- Development of ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as required by senior management.
- Partner with business line finance to identify and implement enhancements to reporting and analysis.
- Assist in coordination of financial data for quarterly board of directors’ meetings.
- Collaborate with business partners within the Internal Operation departments to develop and maintain financial models for annual budget and quarterly forecast.
- Partner with IT to develop automation for FP&A.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of budgeting and forecasting reports. Coordinate with corporate departments and group finance for timely and completeness of submissions.
Qualifications
- Experience:5+ years of related experience required.
Experience in construction, engineering or similar industry is highly preferred.
Public Accounting experience preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Additional Role Specific Skills: Incredible attention to detail, strong analytical and organizational skills. Strong Excel skills a must. CMIC/FMW or related financial systems experience preferred.
CRITICAL SKILLS/ SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated initiative, follow through, resourcefulness, efficiency and attention to detail.
- Detail-oriented and able to perform in a high-pressure and fast paced environment.
- Ability to learn new software and applications.
- Ability to quickly learn organization structure and stakeholders.
- Ability to create a culture of inclusion and belonging by acting with courage, humility and curiosity; desire to learn about others and self-reflect.
- Understanding of construction principles, practices, procedures, means and methods is a plus.
