The Senior Financial Analyst position reports to the Manager of Sales Operations. In this role, the Senior Financial Analyst will have extensive interaction will all levels of the organization and will be responsible for delivering value-added business analysis and meaningful financial/operational metrics that lead to insightful, accurate business decision making for our Revenue (Sales and Marketing) organization. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter, able to prioritize tasks, and has excellent communication skills.
Where you will make an impact

  • Monthly forecasting and annual budget, including risks and opportunities, as well as long-term projections
  • Month-end close analysis, accruals, and reporting
  • Hold quarterly forecast review meetings with each leader within the Revenue organization
  • Provide analysis and insights into variances between actual and expected results to the corporate FP&A team
  • Prepare/consolidate monthly financial reporting packages, including management P&L’s, comprehensive key performance indicator (KPI) reporting, variance analysis, and executive commentary
  • Develop and maintain financial and operating KPIs, and ad-hoc financial analysis to drive better decision-making and prioritization for the Revenue organization.
  • Maintaining detailed headcount, non-labor, and 3rd party expense schedules
  • Various other ad-hoc analyses, reports, and special projects as needed
  • Exhibit flexibility and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments as needed

What you will bring

  • 5+ years relevant work experience in financial planning and analysis preferred, with strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
  • Strong business acumen, with a demonstrated ability to understand and analyze key performance drivers for a business, draw conclusions, and extend concepts/recommendations towards future business impact
  • Ability to work with large amounts of data and to translate results into meaningful metrics and recommendations aimed at improving business performance
  • Experience with financial modeling of expense and revenue plans
  • Ability to inherit existing analyses/metrics, maintain and extend value, and to frame associated recommendations
  • Extensive experience with advanced features of Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data discovery / business intelligence tools preferred – Tableau, Planful, Spotlight, and PowerBI
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to comfortably engage with and build trust with business partners at higher levels of seniority
  • Communicates a sense of urgency and a commitment to delivering on time with quality
