Senior Financial Analyst

Role: Senior Analyst

Salary: $120/hr

Overview: This is a key role in Business Unit Controllership team who will work with different business units on accounting matters, analyze financial results and prepare financial information to be included in Financial statements and footnotes for GAAP and STAT. The senior analyst also works with auditors on various testing procedures and assists with various strategic business projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

· Prepare and compile disclosures included in SEC fillings and Statutory fillings

· Interact, communicate and maintain liaison with other functional departments to ensure the quality, accuracy and completeness of the financial reporting disclosures included in Forms 10-Q and Form 10-K, other US GAAP financial statements as well as Statutory Financial statements

· Prepare analytical reports and utilize various analytical skills and procedures

· Coordinate, conduct and document workpapers of financial reporting activities in accordance of company policies, procedures and SOX controls

· Interact with internal and external auditors as needed

· Recommend process improvements and participate/lead problem solving sessions

· Contribute as key team member that meet ultimate objectives for the team, department and organization

Experience:

· Good understanding of US GAAP and competency in preparing financial statement disclosures

and performing financial analysis for GAAP and Statutory financial statements

· Financial Analyst experience is required

· Assis other analysts, consultants and managers with advanced problem solving and complex analysis

· Ability to manage multiple tasks at once and still meet required deadlines

· Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with other departments

· A self-starter, self-motivated, self-disciplined and performance driven

· Advanced Microsoft Office/Excel required; Oracle, Workiva and xbrl experience preferred
