About the role:
The Senior Lead, Product Communications will be responsible for developing the external product communications strategy and leading execution in support of our growing platform portfolio, focusing on our product suite as well as innovations in core areas such as productivity and AI. The position requires collaborating cross-functionally with multiple teams internally, engaging with senior stakeholders to refine our messaging, and driving Zoom’s position as a tech leader through impactful storytelling.
Oversee positioning and thought leadership campaigns for our senior product leadership including our Chief Product Officer, CTO, Chief Ecosystem Officer and other senior product experts
Collaborate with the product marketing team and the communications team to continuously develop and refine our external product messaging, narratives and themes
Manage and mentor a small team to help them focus on the right priorities and be effective
Foster and maintain senior-level media relationships on Zoom’s behalf across tech as well as other relevant verticals/topics related to our products (e.g. AI, customer experience, employee engagement/productivity, modern communications)
Oversee communications for product launches and milestones, major product moments such as our user conference Zoomtopia and drive evergreen stories by inserting Zoom into relevant trends
Partner closely with corporate communications on key strategic narratives such as the ‘future of work’ and AI; EMEA and APAC PR leads for in-region product announcements
Manage our external PR agency in their media relations efforts
About you:
Bachelor's Degree
Must have extensive tech and product PR experience with strong media relationships and experience directly working with and managing the press
A creative and driven storyteller who loves crafting messaging from scratch and finding ways to break through the noise with interesting narratives
15+ years experience in communications, a mix of agency and corporate in-house technology communications experience preferred
A thoughtful, empathetic leader with 3+ years experience managing and developing a team
Experience with B2B companies is preferred. Passion for tech and product is a must
Experience building consensus among multiple stakeholders and presenting recommendations and strategies to senior management
Experience driving thought leadership for senior technology executives
Highly organized but also comfortable working in a fast-paced, shifting environment; a strong collaborator with a positive, solution-oriented attitude
Excellent writing and editing skills and a strong eye for detail
Salary Range or On Target Earnings:
Minimum:
$136,100.00Maximum:
$297,900.00In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.
Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations.
