Job Description:
The Senior Manager, Business Integrated Insights, Rare Disease serves as the strategic partner to the Rare Disease Business Unit and Brand Teams by generating customer, market, and product insights derived from primary market research, secondary data analytics, and competitive intelligence.
The individual in this role will identify, prioritize, execute, and present the analyses needed to make strategic decisions that improve the performance of aligned brands. The role will also measure brand performance, support brand planning, and act as a key stakeholder in developing brand strategy. The Senior Manager reports to the Director of Marketing Excellence and Business Insights.
This is a critical role in helping the Integrated Insights team to deliver on its mission to provide not only facts and data, but insights and implications that drive growth. This role will directly contribute to the performance of the numerous inline and launch brands in our Rare Disease portfolio and represent the voices of our stakeholders (patients and HCPs) in making critical business decisions.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to work across in-line brands at different lifecycle stages, as well as support the potential launch of a groundbreaking new treatment.
Job Responsibilities & Expectations

Collaborate closely with the Insights team and cross-functional partners across the Rare Disease business and brand teams

Define and manage scope of work and budget for primary market research (PMR) and Competitive Intelligence (CI)

Drive business need identification, qualification, and resolution while leveraging business analytics and other data-driven resources, for example: regular reporting, advanced analytics, PMR and secondary market research, customer intelligence, CI, ROI analytics and analysis of the impact of all marketing expenditures, and field force execution

Deliver effective presentations of findings and recommendations to multiple levels of leadership, creating visual displays of quantitative information

Collaborate with and influence internal stakeholders to process and prioritize new insights and analytics requests, provide feedback on vendor performance, and review data quality assurance policies and procedures

As appropriate, collect the forecasting inputs, elaborate on forecasting assumptions, and facilitate the forecasting process in collaboration with the Forecasting team

Participate as a key thought leader of the business planning team by challenging assumptions and identifying key risks and opportunities
Knowledge, Abilities & Education

BA/BS is required, MBA or advanced degree in quantitative field preferred

Minimum of 4 years’ experience within pharma/biotech, including demonstrated experience in PMR, CI, and/or data analytics and forecasting

Ideally at least 2 years of experience on the client side (in-house) along with vendor or consulting side experience in PMR, data analytics and/or CI

Experience in Rare Diseases preferred, but not required

Demonstrated success using research to drive insights and strategic implications that lead to business decisions

Thorough understanding of the commercialization of biopharmaceuticals, including brand management, sales planning and execution, market access, and regulatory environments

Ability to work in a hybrid work arrangement including a mix of in-office and remote based working, from our Cambridge, MA headquarters
