About the role:

Level Home Inc. is looking for a Senior Product Design / Mechanical Engineer to join our fast-growing company. We design and build award-winning smart home devices.

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join the Hardware Team and focus on developing future award-winning products. You will help choose the best concepts and technologies to fulfill Product Requirements and design, prototype, validate, manufacture, and maintain products while ensuring the scalability, reliability and simplicity of the design.

The successful candidate must show strong analytical and communication skills, be comfortable doing hands-on work, detail oriented and disciplined in completing work assignments, and ready to thrive in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and participate in the creation of products from concept to mass production

Own high-level hardware system architecture and performance

Design, build, assemble and test initial product prototypes

Interact with electrical and firmware engineers on a daily basis to implement designs that fulfill Product Requirements

Create and maintain the mechanical BOM, in 3D CAD (NX), and create engineering specifications using the current standard of GD&T

Required Qualifications:

7+ years of Product Design experience

Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals

Excellent math skills, including advanced geometry, calculus and physics

Familiarity with CAD (Siemens NX preferred) and other mechanical design software (ANSYS)

Creative thinking and innovation

Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Great interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities

Effective verbal and written communication

Customer awareness, including an understanding of target user and use cases
