Senior Production Manager, Food Industry

Capital Staffing Solutions is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual for the position of Senior Production Manager in Pennsylvania, PA. As the Senior Production Manager, you will play a pivotal role in directing, coordinating, and controlling all aspects of plant production to ensure the long-term and short-term profitability of the company. Responsibilities:

• Compliance and Coordination: Ensure strict adherence to FDA and OSHA requirements and maintain high competence in safety, housekeeping, sanitation, security, and food safety.
• Production Optimization: Collaborate cross-functionally within the plant to meet production and food safety guidelines, yield goals, and metrics while upholding labor standards and product quality.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead effective problem-solving initiatives, execute projects, and drive continuous improvement throughout the plant.
• Supervisory Support: Assist supervisors in resolving production and employee-related concerns, coach them to drive planned and scheduled opportunity generation, and provide recommendations for manpower needs.
• Enforcement of Policies: Interpret and enforce company policies, ensuring consistent and fair employment practices, legal compliance, and behaviors aligned with the company's leadership profile.
• Performance Management: Monitor plant metrics, identify root causes for suboptimal results, and focus on continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe and sanitary plant, adhering to state, federal, and company regulations.
• Manufacturing Plans: Develop and implement new manufacturing plans to achieve improved efficiency and effectiveness.
• Performance Team Concepts: Foster a participative management philosophy by developing and maintaining solid performance management and performance team concepts/practices.

Position Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience: 5+ years of related experience in manufacturing, with a strong preference for candidates with food manufacturing experience.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) is essential, and SAP experience is preferred.
• Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, effectively communicating with team members and corporate officials.
• Leadership and Organizational Skills: Demonstrate sound judgment, decision-making, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Flexibility: Be willing to work off-hours when required for production and related functions.
• Travel: Occasional travel may be required, ranging from 0-10% of the time.
