About us
Pliancy is fundamentally changing the way businesses value technology by empowering the next evolution of IT leadership. We provide white-glove consulting solutions to life science and finance organizations. Our employees and clients find that we're starkly different from other IT organizations because we challenge the status quo in two major ways: by putting people first in every decision we make, and by innovating towards simplicity and sustainability. Whether streamlining a client's race to a cancer cure or securing the fine details of data integrity, we're driven to help people.
And as a people-first company that invests in the long-term success of our employees, we're looking for creative thinkers who like to solve interesting problems. We have a culture of mentorship and prioritize curiosity and empathy in all of our hiring decisions.
This is a key position where you will work within a small and focused team to conceptualize, plan, lead, and execute technical projects across dozens of clients. Every day you'll lead your projects while also providing mentorship, technical guidance, and insights to the rest of the team on their projects. As part of the greater professional services team at Pliancy, you will regularly have the opportunity to collaborate on key projects and initiatives within Pliancy for both internal and external stakeholders.
- An empathetic collaborator
- A technical leader
- A great team values open collaboration and the input of others, and you love helping others succeed. Your ability to empathetically listen to the needs of others underpins your ability to navigate challenging situations, be it with clients or internal stakeholders.
- You thrive in an environment with a high degree of autonomy and accountability, but also go out of your way to seek out opportunities to work in a tight-knit group of bright and capable teammates.
- An adept and organized problem solver
- Our ideal candidate is a technical problem solver at heart who loves to see plans through to fruition. As a skilled organizer, you know that successful projects start with a clear goal and a great plan. You have a keen eye for identifying potential roadblocks before they happen and can rally others around a plan to proactively resolve emerging issues.
- Searching for ways to streamline work and automate repeatable tasks is exciting to you. You have an insatiable urge to understand how and why things work and are constantly on the lookout for opportunities to learn and embrace new technologies.
- As an accomplished Engineer, your technical acumen and insight inspire confidence in others, and your colleagues depend on your expertise daily. As a team lead, you value investing in others as much as you value growing your knowledge and skills.
- Your commitment to finding ways to improve tooling & processes is backed up by your ability to teach and guide others in doing the same.
- Ability to autonomously lead projects from beginning to end
- Acting as the team point of contact for technical escalations
- Regularly providing data-driven feedback for ongoing team improvement
- Meeting performance standards tied to utilization, eNPS, CSAT, and time to value
- Extensive understanding of all project processes & workflows
- Acting as a trusted mentor to associate & projects engineers
Pliancy prides itself on providing an enormous amount of autonomy for all of its employees - we do not micromanage and we allow our employees to fail and learn in a supportive environment. Accountability is our way of outlining the level of yes/no power you will have in this role and how it will impact the organization. With great power comes great responsibility!
