The Role

The Honest Company is looking for a Senior Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware) Engineer to help us in our mission of delivering safe affordable products to current and future customers. You will have an opportunity to take ownership of key features and functionality on our e-commerce platform, and help drive the e-commerce vision at The Honest Company.

What you’ll do:

• Implement customizations to the Salesforce Commerce Cloud system by writing high-quality, testable, and compliant code using software development best practices.
• Work closely with the DTC business teams, Customer Support and Product Management to design and develop solutions using SFCC, internal and third-party tools
• Configure out of box capabilities and features on the SFCC software platform
• Triage issues reported during testing or discovered in Production and fix defects to eCommerce systems
• Work with other developers and QA Analysts to quickly deliver quality results throughout the entire SDLC from start to finish
• Participate in DevOps and Change Management activities
• Estimate development tasks during discovery, scoping, planning, and development stages

What you'll need:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related area
• 5+ years software engineering experience
• 3+ years of experience as an SFCC Developer/Engineer in an SI or CPG Business
• Deep understanding of e-commerce, the topology of commerce systems, and the e-commerce ecosystem
• Deep knowledge of the Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware) ecosystem and best practices
• Understanding of how to make web components reusable and testable
• Understanding of restful APIs
• Understanding of MVC, SOA and asynchronous file exchanges
• Ability to take business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (Git strategies, Unit Tests, build processes)

Bonus Points for:

• Experience with client-side JavaScript frameworks, such as React.js
• Knowledge of the node.js ecosystem

The pay range for this role is $140,000 - $193,000. Actual compensation is based on many factors including but not limited to depth of experience, skill level, ability, knowledge, education, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
