Job Description and Duties
Are you looking for a fast-paced and challenging position that will provide you invaluable Information Technology (IT) experience? The Employment Development Department is looking for a highly skilled .NET developer who enjoys a challenge and wants to make a difference for the people of California.
This is a highly technical position that supports code development for California's Disability Insurance and Paid Family Leave programs. The IT Specialist II provides senior level analysis and performs complex software development for work efforts and projects. Duties include participation and communication to all levels of technical and program staff and management. The Specialist provides guidance, development and mentoring of technical programmer staff. The Specialist triages system issues, analyzes incident requests and legislation, and collaborates with development and operations staff on application changes.
A successful candidate will demonstrate senior level programming skills, experience and understanding of application and complex system components, ability to troubleshoot large scale applications, excellent written and oral communication skills, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
Position exists in downtown Sacramento, at EDD's Headquarters office at 800 Capitol Mall, Sacramento, California
