Senior Software Engineer

Striim is looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is seeking an opportunity to contribute to our Pivot to SaaS initiative. We are leveraging the latest technologies and bringing more value to our customers via Realtime Data Streaming.

A Senior Software Engineer at Striim will work with object-oriented design, coding, and testing patterns. Experience in engineering software platforms and large-scale data infrastructures is required. This role will require experience architecting highly scalable distributed systems, using different open-source tools, building high-performance algorithms, and thorough understanding about algorithms' working processes.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in programming, system operations & latest distributed systems.
• Programming experience in Golang / Java / Python / Groovy / Nodejs (Polyglot Preferred)

• Proficient in leveraging CI and CD tools such as spinnaker / argocd / tectoncd /jenkins to automate testing and deployment.
• Experience programming within an Agile environment
• Experience with high performance distributed systems

• Should thrive working in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with other engineers

• Cloud platform Knowledge in AWS/GCP/Azure.
• Cloud networking knowledge in VPC, NATs, and routers.

Preferred Skills

• A background in database systems, specifically internals and transaction processing experience with real time event processing
• Experience Implementing complex big data projects with a focus on collecting, parsing, managing, analyzing and visualizing large sets of data to turn information into insights using multiple platforms
• Research skills and the ability to pick up new technologies quickly

This role will require occasional travel and in-person meetings.
