Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Quality Engineer to join our core Quality team! You will be responsible for the development and implementation of Aeva’s Software Quality Strategy and collaborate with the project team to establish efficient work products and processes that are compliant with automotive software development models.
What you'll do:
Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of Aeva’s Software Quality Systems
Define quality requirements and standards for projects and products, specify the quality strategy and outline quality objectives following automotive software development models
Execute internal audits and assessments to ensure processes and documentation comply with software development processes and standards, policies, procedures, or best practices
Compile and analyze software quality data during development, identify quality risks and report quality status to relevant stakeholders
Drive continuous improvement of process effectiveness and efficiency through detailed analysis of nonconformances and performance metrics; implement effective solutions compliant with Automotive SPICE (ASPICE)
Collaborate with the engineering teams to establish software development processes that meet related software standards and models
Support development teams in identifying effective solutions and enable the implementation, and validation of robust Functional Safety (FuSa) concepts
Collect and analyze software quality data during development, identify quality risks and report quality status to relevant stakeholders regularly
Promote and champion a culture of quality and continuous improvement
What you have:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineer, or a related technical discipline
5+ years of coding and software quality experience with excellent knowledge of software testing methodologies & practices
Experienced in conducting internal process audits and assessments against Automotive SPICE (ASPICE)
Familiar with the software development models for automotive projects (e.g. V-model) or prior experience in developing automotive electronic control products
Competent in developing test plans, test cases, assessing risk, and filing appropriate defects
Software scripting skills (e.g. Python, C++, C)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to define complex problem statements, identify the root cause,s and implement corrective and preventative actions
Basic project management skills
Ability to thrive in a collaborative working environment within your team and beyond
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to have:
Knowledge of ISO26262 is preferred
Working experience with JIRA and JAMA is a plus
Six Sigma Green or Black Belt accredited
