Senior Strategy Manager | Monetisation

Lyst is going through an exciting period of growth and we’re scaling fast! We’re seeking a Monetisation Strategy Manager to join us on this journey, to be instrumental in supporting monetisation growth and delivery of Lyst’s strategic company bet: Margin.

We’re looking for an experienced candidate with proven ability to manage both strategic and tactical endeavours, with a structured approach to a wide array of initiatives and planning. This is an analytical role and so we’re looking for someone with a strong analytical background, underpinned with commercial acumen and natural curiosity.

The Monetisation Strategy Manager role will report into - and work closely with - the VP Monetisation. This teams’ work is heavily cross-functional and this role has high visibility, with stakeholders across the business.

This role will focus on delivering work in the following areas:

  • Building monetisation frameworks; including commercial analysis, identifying opportunities and risks, as well as packaging this into usable methodologies for the business to use.
  • Contribute to, and support the overarching Monetisation strategy by proactively finding opportunities for monetisation and margin levers.
  • Work with analysts to run scenario planning and strategic forecasting (over both 12M and 36M horizons).
  • Support the VP Monetisation with initiative viability assessments to aid prioritisation by validating framework basis & need. Including opportunity sizing and impact analysis
  • Partner with relevant stakeholders in different squads, including continuous communication and check-ins with executing teams.
  • Support the day-to-day of relevant initiatives to ensure they are on track to meet margin goals.
  • Identifying when initiatives are off plan, and working with executing teams to re-introduce order.
  • Act as a connector between the Monetisation team and other commercial workstreams to leverage work already undertaken across the business and utilise for higher accuracy in the above areas.
  • Clearly communicate actionable insights across all levels to inform monetisation efforts.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a strategy focused team.
  • You have the combination of strong commercial acumen and a top class analytical skill set, allowing you to resolve complex commercial issues in a data driven way.
  • Confidently organise and manage working on short-term opportunities whilst also working on long-term strategic planning.
  • Proven experience in identifying commercially viable opportunities and scoping their relevance.
  • You’ll have a desire for high autonomy and accountability; you’ll be comfortable working across all levels within the organisation.
  • Previous experience of working in a high-growth technology environment, ideally with experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Proven experience of partnering with people across an array of teams to identify gaps, opportunities and areas for focus.
  • You’re comfortable with ambiguity and continuous change and have a track record of making an impact in these environments.
