As a Senior Supply Chain Specialist in the Material Planning team, you will be responsible for managing and executing the acquisition of raw materials, semi-finished and finished goods. This supports production and service for all instruments and rapid assay testing. The Materials Planner will use SAP to plan and execute POs and will be responsible for managing supplier relationships and delivery schedules for assigned products. You will have the opportunity to collaborate across several key functional areas and will make a difference by evaluating existing processes for efficiencies and improvements.
What you can expect in this role:
To leverage SAP to maintain the supply plan and create POs to maintain the appropriate inventory level.
You'll collaborate with procurement and quality groups to ensure products meet quality specifications, and identify, troubleshoot, recommend solutions, and resolve supply problems.
You will develop and grow strong, mutually-beneficial relationships with external suppliers and internal customers. This will include communicating requirements, as well as managing and negotiating pricing, lead time, MOQ, delivery schedule, etc. to maintain optimum inventory.
You understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements and adhere to all appropriate ISO 9000 quality standards and work instructions.

What you will need to succeed:
You possess strong verbal and written communication, attention to detail, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
You have demonstrated a strong focus on process, continuous improvement, and quantitative analysis.
You have the ability to identify gaps or improvement opportunities with a desire to implement change.
Solid negotiation skills with working knowledge of negotiation tactics and techniques.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with the ability to lead small groups.
You have a solid working knowledge of SAP/MRP systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (experienced in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
