Senior Web Visualization Engineer

You will join as a foundational member of our Product Engineering team, dedicated to delivering our platform capabilities in an intuitive and performant interface.

In this role you will:

Enhance our custom visualization framework built with ThreeJS
Establish the architecture and frameworks to unify our front-end development across customer-facing and internal online tools at Parallel Domain.
Build experiences that help our customers to understand their data, and help us to more effectively meet the needs of our customers.
Collaborate with PMs, UX design, backend and infrastructure engineers to ensure cohesion of our services, and maintainable systems.
Implement testing and CI/CD practices to enable a developer-friendly environment.
Have the opportunity to work across the stack, and with other disciplines.

Qualifications:

Significant knowledge of JavaScript, with focus on React and Typescript
Experience creating visualization applications with WebGL (ThreeJS)
Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, etc.
Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly, and master diverse web technologies and techniques.

Bonus points:

Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
Experience with Python-based web frameworks such as Flask or Django
Experience with web frameworks such as GatsbyJS or NextJS
Experience in building and extending RESTful APIs
Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
