Designer/Drafter

Designer/Drafter position develops complex designs, tooling and fixtures in a team environment directly working with engineers, coordinators and operators while exercising independent judgement and experience to accurately prepare layouts, detail and assembly drawings. Must be proficient in 2D and 3D modeling (AutoCAD and SolidWorks). Confers with appropriate engineer and other cross-functional... personnel on design concepts. Exercises independent judgement to develop designs. Prepares accurate layout, detail and assembly drawings. Reviews work of other designers at various phases of design. Recommends changes/modifications as appropriate to meet manufacturability, functionality and measurability requirements. Processes engineering changes to drawings and reports. Associates Degree Required; Technical Degree/Certificate preferred. SolidWorks Technical Certficate Mechanical Drafting Certificate 3-7 Years Experience in design tooling/fixtures/assemblies/components. This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the successful candidate must be a U.S. person as defined in the ITAR and EAR.
