While being technical & experienced in building consumer grade experiences is highly admired this role also comes with the need to successfully navigate cross-functional business stakeholders, end users, designers, architects & engineers to execute change in a product mindset.

Product Strategy and Roadmap: 

  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with the company's overall objectives. 
  • Create and maintain a product roadmap that outlines the key features, enhancements, and milestones for the product's evolution. 

Requirement Gathering and Prioritization: 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, to gather and prioritize product requirements. 
  • Define user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria to guide the development process. 

Technical Understanding: 

  • Possess a deep understanding of the technology stack, architecture, and technical constraints associated with the product. 
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure the technical feasibility of product features. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration: 

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, UX design, quality assurance, and operations, to ensure successful product delivery. 
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members. 

Product Development Oversight: 

  • Monitor and track product development progress, ensuring that it stays on schedule. 
  • Make critical assessments and trade-offs to meet project objectives. 

Performance Metrics and Analysis: 

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the product's success and iterate based on data-driven insights. 

Customer Feedback and Iteration: 

  • Gather and analyze stakeholder feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement. 
  • Iterate on product features and enhancements to address stakeholders needs and pain points. 
     

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

  • 6+ years in software product management experience 
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Business) or related equivalent experience is preferred.  
  • Strong prioritization skills and the discipline to focus on high impact activities.   
  • Experience defining and capturing product requirements and transforming them into a product roadmap.  
  • Assesses complex issues from multiple angles in order to get the complete picture, evaluates the potential consequences and implications of different options, identifies the underlying issues and root causes of problems, and incorporates new information and concepts when solving problems. 
  • Addresses process breakdowns with speed and thoroughness, uses process analysis methods like metrics and benchmarks, focuses efforts on both processes and results, and modifies own work activities and methods to eliminate wasted effort and inefficiencies. 
  • Demonstrates flexibility of responses to different situations, recognizes cues that suggest a change in approach or behavior is needed, adapts to changing needs, conditions, priorities, or opportunities, and monitors how well approach is working to see if change is needed. 
  • Deep curiosity about customer needs, along with building customer relationships and delivering high value solutions.  
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills and a proven process of data-validated, hypothesis-driven, experiment-tested responsibilities.  
  • Experience or awareness with Agile and the Software Development Lifecycle    
  • Strategic mindset: able to drive product strategy that achieves substantial customer value and business outcomes; able to make trade-off assessments considering what’s desirable, viable, and technically feasible.  
  • Preferred: experience working with developers and designers to craft delightful customer experiences in a highly collaborative environment  
  • Preferred: Demonstrated project management experience from previous internship, or academic or personal projects  
  • Preferred: Experience or awareness with Agile and the Software Development Lifecycle
