We are looking for a Procurement Manager to join the team here at settle. This role will be extremely rewarding and is a great opportunity to help shape the procurement culture and deliver significant business-wide procurement that will have a lasting impact on the future success of Settle.

Outline of Key Responsibilities...

  • Provide advice, guidance and support, throughout the business to ensure procurement and contract management practices are compliant with internal policies, as well as statutory regulations, and provide best possible value.
  • You will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to help minimise risk, and foster innovation.
  • You will contribute to the design and roll out of a robust contract and supplier relationship management framework that will optimise delivery for Settle’s strategic suppliers.
  • Be responsible for managing the procurement and tendering of a wide range of supplies, services and works through the implementation of innovative category strategies
  • Maintain awareness of risk management for supplier contracts and agreements.

We are looking for someone who has...

  • Minimum of 3 years procurement experience within either the public, charitable, or not-for-profit sector with practical knowledge of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and an understanding of the upcoming changes through the Procurement Act 2023 plus the ability to lead on OJEU procurements.
  • Advanced knowledge and demonstrable experience in leading a range of successful OJEU/TED procurements utilising a range of procedures i.e. open, restricted, competitive dialogue, etc.
  • MCIPS, or as a minimum, working towards full MCIPS accreditation.
  • Experience in identifying and delivering value for money and efficiencies through spend analysis, category management skills, procurement and supply chain activity.
  • Well-developed relationship management and influencing skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
  • An expert at analysing spending data, identifying trends, and presenting outputs effectively.

Desirable:

  • Experience of managing categories of spend associated with repairs, maintenance, asset management, and direct labour organisations.
  • Experience of creating or supporting the production of policies, procedures, guidelines to support a procurement function and lead on training where necessary.
