Shipment Rating Analyst I - Remote

Review/resolve shipment rating results on the assigned client system error log. Maintain rates and other applicable data in the client rating system. Contact client personnel or carriers to resolve issues and obtain rates. Assist with freight invoice exceptions.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Review error log on a daily basis and in a timely manner, resolve identified issues.
  • Communicate directly with client personnel and/or carriers to resolve issues discovered.
  • Enter rates into Client’s system. This will include new carriers as well as updated rates for existing carriers.
  • Update SAP/Transportation Management System (TMS) data as required to correct errors in output.
  • Recommend changes and enhancements that will improve the overall efficiency and quality of the error resolution process.
  • Initiate and respond to communications from assigned client and or carrier personnel.
  • Assist in clearing freight invoice exceptions.
  • Create parcel labels.
  • Perform special projects and duties as required.

KNOWLEDGE AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Thorough knowledge of all types of rate contracts.
  • Expertise in loading and maintaining data in client rating system.
  • Proficient analytic ability, strong attention to detail, and high efficiency is vital in the interpretation and processing of contracts and rates.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and Internet navigation.
  • Strong communication and organization skills.
  • A strong work ethic with the capacity to work professionally under pressure on both team and independent assignments.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0 – 3 years of experience in a carrier or shipper pricing function or other related function.
