Shipping Clerk

Under general direction, the Shipping Clerk, handles the back-end processes that support the NSC in the scanning and shipment of drug testing and fingerprinting supplies. This role processes the daily shipments of chain of custody forms and fingerprint cards for donors to utilize when going to a clinic for testing. Scan fingerprinting cards and file for those customers who require 30-day retention. All coc and fingerprinting requests must be managed in a timely manner and completed by the end of each business day. Strong data entry, organization and office skills to support company goals and priorities are all key components of this role.

The ideal candidate has a customer-first mindset and aims to deliver high-quality service in every customer interaction.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all daily shipments for the NSC via FedEx, UPS or other carrier. Average daily packages shipped by the NSC Support Team ranges from 125 – 200 packages a day. Will pull appropriate customer specific Chain of Custody form and/or Fingerprint cards for clients to ship out for candidate testing or fingerprinting – necessary to ensure proper result reporting to correct customer
  • Data enter shipping information along with billing info (shipping account or client account) into database to produce shipping label so packages can be properly billed out to proper entity and shipped accordingly
  • Responsible for maintaining appropriate supply of shipping materials as well as drug testing and fingerprint supplies
  • Responsible for the scanning of all pre-employment fingerprint cards as well as Channeling Account fingerprint cards. Average number of fingerprint cards scanned daily ranges between 150 – 225 cards. Enter SSN from pre-employment cards to pull existing schedule from system; verify the information on fingerprint card to ensure the correct candidate; enter date of birth of candidate into system from fingerprint card. Accurately data enter all data from fingerprint card, scan and select appropriate client for channeling

Requirements

Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: A minimum of 6-12 months prior experience preferred

Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Certifications:

  • Computer and data entry skills are required for database entry.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, highly organized detail-oriented
  • Must be able to work in a time sensitive role
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and willingness to do tasks as assigned, as the workflow deems necessary.
  • Must demonstrate a customer and team focus.

Physical Requirements: This role is largely a sedentary in nature and involves sitting for long periods of time. The role requires the ability to hear and talk as well as to see data and adjust visual focus for computer and paper tasks, read, type, lift and/or carry equipment and files up to 20 pounds, walk, bend or stand as necessary.

Working Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment onsite daily in the Fishers, Indiana, First Advantage Office. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, calculators, and filing cabinets.
