Responsible for assisting in the preparation of all food items, in a timely efficient manner, as required by the daily menu or work sheets, under the direction of the cook and/or appropriate supervisory personnel. Responsible for assuring correct portion sizes as well as proper temperature of all prepared items. Responsible for maintaining a sanitary kitchen and following all safety and sanitation policies and procedures. Processes GET orders. Meets and greets the customer in a respectful manner and assures customer satisfaction. Serves the customer and provides excellent customer service. Communicates with others, both verbally and written, in English.

This position is 35 hours/week, approximately nine months/year (early August - early May) and is eligible for all full time benefits. This position is available in the following locations. However, schedules are subject to change to an earlier or later shift based on operational needs and location.
Emporium - 6:30am-2:00pm with rotating weekends per the union contract ( one position)
10:00am-5:30pm with rotating weekends per the union contract (three positions)
1:00pm-8:30pm with rotating weekends per the union contract (three positions)
Kennedy Union - Swing shift, shifts starting between 7:00am and 1:00pm with rotating weekends per the union contract
Marycrest - 3:30pm-11:00pm with rotating weekends per the union contract
Virginia Kettering - 7:00am-2:30pm with rotating weekends per the union contract (one position)
3:30pm-11:00pm with rotating weekends per the union contract ( multiple positions)
A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide. With this development, the University will pause any enforcement action against employees who have not complied with the requirement to be fully vaccinated by Dec. 8, 2021 or to have requested an exemption to maintain their employment status.
The University will continue to monitor the state of the pandemic on campus and in the community as well as developments in federal and state requirements, and also will continue to regularly consult with public health officials and our medical panel. As has been the case throughout the pandemic, our protocols and requirements are subject to change depending on conditions on campus or in our community, and government requirements.
