Database Administrator Specialist

Role: Cloud Database Engineer Client: Leading Banking & Financial services... Location: Must be on-site in McLean, VA(Preferred), Secondary option is Dallas, TX OR Atlanta Duration: 12+ months contract (strong possibilities of extension) Must have: Postgres, Aurora, Mongo Atlas, Cloud Formation, Understanding of VPC(virtual private cloud), Cloud Automation development Job Description A successful candidate will have the following characteristics: • Knowledge and expertise with AWS cloud infrastructure • Understanding of Cloud architecture, end points, VPC , Security groups etc • Skilled at creating and modifying Cloud formation templates • Skilled at creating new Terraform templates • Experience in designing Aurora Postgres and Mongo Atlas databases • Experience in maintaining and improving backups, restore process • Experience with Aurora 5-7 years • Experience with Mongo Atlas 5- 7 yrs • Experience with CFT development 5- 7 yrs • Good working knowledge of Cloud security elements , IAM roles etc • New technology assessment skills • Understanding of Neptune, Dynamo, Document DBs.
