Senior Account Executive

Founded in 2015, Smartcar has raised $36M from Andreessen Horowitz, New Enterprise Associates, and Energize Capital. We are the leading developer platform for mobility businesses across North America and Europe, serving amazing customers, including brands like Uber, Turo, and more.


Innovative mobility businesses use our API platform to verify mileage, issue digital car keys, manage EV charging schedules, monitor fleets, and much more.


We’re looking for an ambitious and talented individual who sells with passion, respect.


You will have the exciting opportunity to champion the entire sales cycle from lead generation to close, while building long-term relationships with our tech-savvy clientele. If you foster a cross-functional B2B sales approach that focuses on demonstrating value to technical and non-technical stakeholders, then this opportunity is for you.


In this role, you will report directly to Smartcar’s Sales Director, Asa Hope and collaborate closely with senior leadership and founders to scale our UK and EU sales strategy, and drive the continued success of our business.


This role is remote within the United Kingdom. We’d love for you to join us!


Key Responsibilities
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close - Working across multiple use cases and verticals in the mobility space.
  • Use deep-questioning to discover underlying business needs and drivers.
  • Present Smartcar to both technical and non-technical stakeholders using value-based selling.
  • Negotiate and close deals ranging from $10K-250K in TCV.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline and CRM hygiene.
  • Contribute to strengthening Smartcar’s sales process and playbook.
  • Build strong relationships and communication channels with Customer Success, Product, and Engineering.
  • Work closely with Solution Architects during the technical validation and implementation stage.


Who You Are
  • 3-7 years of experience in a high performing B2B SaaS closing role
  • Ability to quickly learn, understand, and present technical topics
  • Exemplary writing, speaking, and presentation skills
  • Diligent with researching and understanding each opportunity
  • Team player who is collaborative, thoughtful, resourceful, and coachable
  • Confident with value-based selling methodologies and a challenger mindset

Compensation and Benefits Package
  • Base salary determined by years of experience: £60,000 - £90,000.
  • Variable: £60,000 - £90,000.
  • OTE: £120,000 - £180,000 (50/50 split).
  • Competitive equity.

Interview Steps
  • Intro Call: 30 minute phone call with Steven Stone to learn about your background and determine whether your skill set matches the role.

  • Hiring Manager Video Call: 45 min video call with Asa Hope to learn more about your background and for you to ask as many questions as you would like about the role.

  • Take-Home Assignment: You will have 1 day to prepare a discovery call presentation for the current product you sell in your current role.

  • Take-Home Assignment Review: Once your challenge is complete you will have a 60 min video call with Laura Huddle (CRO) and Asa Hope to conduct the discovery call. Please send us the roles that you would like Laura and Asa to play.

  • Final Stage: This is a 4-part video interview where you will have a 30 minute demo with a member of the engineering team, a 30 minute call to meet 2 members of your team, and two 30 minute behavioral interviews; one with Mathilde Patmon and one with Asa Hope.
