Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

To qualify for the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner position at Smith Arnold Partners, candidates must be graduates of an accredited Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner program and possess board certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. An active New York State NP license and an active DEA license are also required. While preferred, one year of PMHNP experience is not mandatory, though being detail-oriented and capable of working accurately in a fast-paced environment is essential.

At Smith Arnold Partners, you can expect to see an average of 12-14 patients daily as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Each day will typically include ample time allocated for psychiatric evaluations and medication management, which allows you to provide thorough and individualized care to each patient.

Smith Arnold Partners is committed to ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners. You'll benefit from an extensive training period alongside the Chief Psychiatrist for 3-4 weeks, allowing you to acclimate to our procedures and patient care standards. You will also have ongoing support from a dedicated team of social workers and behavioral health providers focused on collaborative care.

The typical working hours for the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner role at Smith Arnold Partners are from 9 am to 5:30 pm.
