About the role
The Foundation supports a range of issues with our signature focus areas dedicated to addressing the climate crisis and building access to STEM careers. We seek a Manager to manage and extend our current social impact programming in these two key focus areas. This is a transformative program that leverages grants, product, and people to drive major
impact on these issues with a set of world-class partners.
As a Social Impact Program Manager, you will work cross-functionally across our global offices in close collaboration with our small but high-performing Foundation team. You will help leverage the power of our people, product, and resources to make the world a better place. And you’ll play a crucial role in developing the Cadence social impact program, including more than $4M in yearly investments. The strength of your project management and organizational skills, prior experience and knowledge of social impact initiatives, and your positive energy and passion for doing good will enable you to effectively advance Cadence’s social impact priorities. This role will report to our Director of Global Social Impact and report to our offices in San Jose.
What you bring
  • A desire to create and launch new, ambitious programs with world-class partners
  • Strong knowledge and experience in applying technology to address global issues
  • 3-5 years of experience in
    • leading complex projects or strategic initiatives in an unstructured environment.
    • researching, critically analyzing, and evaluating information from divergent sources and compiling it into cohesive reports and recommendations for strategy and action.
    • writing and editing promotional and informational material.
    • managing complex, multi-stakeholder partnerships
  • Understanding of and appetite for the challenges and opportunities of a high-tech environment
  • Experience running world-class employee engagement programs
  • Understanding of Cadence product and ability to connect product lines to community needs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet time sensitive deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural and multidisciplinary context with a commitment to an inclusive workplace
  • Prior background in working in-house on social impact is required
  • Knowledge of climate justice issues is a bonus, and connections or experience with climate justice organizations is preferred
  • Experience with impact measurement and/or STEM education program development is a bonus.
The annual salary range for California is $102,200 to $189,800. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
