Software Engineer

Responsibilities

Build enhancements and resolve bugs through analyzing and developing required objects, programs, and files.
Develop functional requirements for application features and enhancements.
Contribute to application design reviews, code reviews, and test planning/execution.
Create detailed technical documentation that supports all new features and fixes.
Follow established standard operating procedures and practices.
Work cross functionally with business analysis, testing, and infrastructure teams to build and deploy applications.
Provide accurate estimates for work to aid sprint planning and delivery timelines.
Participate in triaging and resolving support issues with understanding of business impact and urgency for resolution.

Qualifications

5+ years’ of experience developing in RPGLE on large iSeries(AS/400) platforms and using SQL with DB2 databases.
Strong design and development experience with large scale, critical business applications and proven ability to create both functional and technical design documentation.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a strong passion for delivering quality solutions in a customer environment.
Flexibility to provide critical business support on weekends, holidays, and participate in 24/7 on call rotation.
Experience working with integration components including IBM Websphere Broker, Informatica, and Automic/UC4 Workload Automation.
Experience with Agile software development practices.

Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing
Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment
Must be able to use a computer
Must have the ability to communicate effectively
Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers

Salary Range

$118,275.00 - $186,600.00 USD (Salary)

Please note that the salary information provided herein is base pay only (gross); it does not include other forms of compensation which may or may not apply to this specific position, namely, performance-based bonuses, benefits-related payments, or other general incentives - none of which are guaranteed, may be subject to specific eligibility requirements, and are wholly within the discretion of Astreya to remit.
Further, the salary information noted above is a range that consists of a minimum and maximum rate of pay for this specific position. Where an applicant or employee is placed on this range will depend and be contingent on objective, documented work-related considerations like education, experience, certifications, licenses, preferred qualifications, among other factors.
