Software Engineer - SDET

About the role:

We are looking for a strong SDET to help us continue to build out our core end-to-end testing functionality and architecture in Cypress and TypeScript.

What you'll do:

You will be expected to help keep our application performant, bug free, and well-tested. We are big believers in quality code, code linters, testing, and code reviews.

Aumni is a Ruby on Rails backend with a React front end implemented in our own from-scratch component system. Our end-to-end tests are written in Cypress with TypeScript.

This position is for Salt Lake City (Cottonwood Heights), UT or 100% remote.

About you:

• 1+ year(s) of software automation or other software development experience preferred
• Creating e2e and API tests to cover new product features as they are developed, inside an existing test framework
• Working in agile QA teams
• Working in Cypress
• Maintaining suites of automated tests so that they remain useful, reliable, and lean.
• Adding features and capabilities to test frameworks
• Maintaining and adding new features to test pipelines and CI infrastructure

Bonus points if you have experience with any of the following:

• TypeScript
• Experience with ELT/ETL
• API and Performance testing
• Docker and kubernetes
• Large dataset manipulation
• Microservices architecture
• PostgreSQL
• Security testing best practices and tools
• Stress testing and scaling services
• Venture Capital/Private Equity
• Datadog
• Sentry
