Software Engineer - Sustenance Engineer (CPD)

We are looking for Software Engineers who are motivated and passionate and willing to enhance Cohesity's Products by having a knack of diagnosing problems in large bodies of complex code, understand scalability and performance and work on fixes with rapid turnaround time and high quality. You will be part of our Sustenance Engineering team and willing to work with Customer Support, System Engineers.

Job Duties:

Primary Role ( approx 80% to 90% of the time) - Collaborate with Team members, Support, Dev, QA and Field teams to diagnose and troubleshoot complex customer issues and fix these issues.
Secondary Role ( approx 10% to 20% of the time) - Work on Tools to improve troubleshooting of customer issues and also Code bug fixes/improvements .
Orchestrate development and testing of patches/hot-fixes.
Perform in-depth root cause analysis, implement code fixes to resolve product defects/issues to customers.
Deep dive into analyzing, troubleshooting and fixing functional and Performance issues, with rapid delivery of the solution.

Requirements:

3 to 10 years of work experience.
Keen eye to debug issues by understanding the deployment environment and also the Cohesity Code base.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Hands on coding skills (in C++ ) and SQL Databases - strong data structures, design, algorithms are a must
Knowledge in Storage, Filesystems or Data Protection is a plus
Motivated to solve complex problems and challenges.
Willingness to learn new product areas and new programming languages, tools.
