Your Role: What you'll be doing

  • Engage with Product Owners, Technology Architects, Engineering and/or Automation team members on cross-functional activities to ensure adequate quality standards are in place throughout the SDLC.
  • Adhere to implementation methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
  • Perform the design or specification of inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; conducts code, test, and software reviews; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
  • Develop and implements Quality operating procedures, practices, and standards that represents Quality objectives and strategies that are critical to organizational success. Interprets and consistently executes company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards, and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
  • Specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.
  • Lead a team of Software Quality Engineers providing guidance and mentoring, task distribution via Kanban Dashboard, and collaboration on general team support.
  • Provide guidance, advice, and feedback to support the team and ensuring the growth of the organization.
  • Lead medium to large, complex, and dynamic projects to successful completion with a collaborative team in an agile environment.

Your Background: What education and experience you'll need

Requires a bachelor’s degree and 6-10 years of experience.

Your Background: What skills you'll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or related technical field from an accredited college or university.
  • Industry experience in Quality Engineering as it relates to Product Development, Software, RCCA, Causal Analysis, Metrics, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team, share experience, mentor junior engineers in the group, and lead by example.
  • Proven experience with software development, software project management, or equivalent, preferably within the Aerospace and/or Space Launch industry.
  • Ability to read and write code in Ada, C++, Python and/or Java.
  • Familiarity with Git or other VCS tools
  • Ability to compile presentations and documentation on specific project charters and present to customers, USG, and relevant ULA audiences.
  • Previous experience in a software engineering integration lab testing environment is highly desired.
  • Experience with AS9100/ISO9001 or direct auditor experience is preferred

Summary Salary Range (Colorado Only)

$106,040 - $165,610

Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon a candidate’s experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to base pay.
