Solutions Architect - Functional (Life Sciences)

Model N is hiring a Solution Architect – Life Sciences Functional, reporting to the Director of Professional Services. As a member of the Professional Services team, you will participate in the implementation of Model N systems, coach and lead functional teams, collaborate across project teams both external and internal for seamless implementations.

Responsibilities

Work in implementation teams on Life Sciences (Pharma, MedTech, etc.) customer engagement projects as a Lead Business Analyst.
Work with Model N’s product management teams to understand current and future releases of the application suite.
Communicate customer requirements effectively with product management and engineering teams.
Act as project business analyst subject matter expert.
Lead customers and partners through the definition and design phases of an implementation process, including analyzing current business processes, documenting configuration and extension requirements for the application as well as data and integration requirements, and produce functional requirement documents.
Conduct gap analysis between system functionality and customer requirements.
Train customers on application functionality.
Identify business and technical issues throughout the project that could impact requirements, scope, or schedule and work with the project manager to identify potential solutions.
Work with the technical team members during the construction and test phases of the project to clarify issues, manage and document changes when needed, and drive the functional testing by the customer business resources.
Coach and guide functional team members as industry processes evolve. Act as the functional team lead when needed.
Support Sales team in demo prep, gap analysis and project estimating.
Stay current and provide business guidance internally and to customers related to the high tech & retail business industries.
Travel and on-site presence at customer sites required as needed.

Compensation varies depending on factors that may include a candidate’s relevant experience, education and/or certifications, location, training, and other skills. Positions are eligible to participate in either our employee bonus program or commission payments, depending on the nature of the role.
