Senior Data Engineer (m/f/d) Remote

Are you a data engineer, passionate about building data products? 

We're seeking an experienced candidate to join our data team to be part of the foundation for SoSafe's data-driven future, in one of Europe’s most successful cyber security startups. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping our data infrastructure and transforming raw data into actionable insights that power our product and drive business growth. 

Your mission 

  • Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and infrastructure to help our rapid business growth. 

  • Collaborate closely with product, analytics, and other teams to deliver data-driven solutions that power our product roadmap and enhance customer experiences. 

  • Take ownership of the data infrastructure, driving best practices and ensuring data reliability and performance. 

  • Democratize data access by building scalable and secure data delivery mechanisms. 

  • Ensure data pipeline reliability through robust monitoring, alerting, and CI/CD practices. 

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data engineering, evaluating new technologies and frameworks to enhance our data capabilities. 

  • Actively participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and decision-making processes. 

  • Effectively align stakeholder expectations and communicate technical concepts clearly. 

 

Your profile 

  • 5+ years of experience building and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines and infrastructure on AWS.

  • Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and data engineering tools (DMS, Airflow, dbt), with experience in building event-driven architectures.

  • Solid understanding of DevOps practices, including Terraform and CI/CD as well as data warehouse management (monitoring, performance optimization, etc.).

  • Experience with data quality and governance practices.

  • Excellent communication and with a proven aptitude to build strong working relationships with colleagues.  

  • Strong strategic thinking and a solution-oriented mindset.   

  • Thrive in a fast-paced, vibrant environment, with a drive for continuous learning and adaptability to evolving challenges. Proactive self-starter with a strong sense of ownership.  

  • Fluent in English and optionally German.
