This position will have the robust opportunity to learn all aspects of an Athletics program and will learn the business, administrative, external, and internal operations of an Athletics department. The Pepsi intern will attend all home games in order to market the department through our Pepsi sponsorship and will work with groups on campus to promote Athletics.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Assist in game management as needed
Set up and organize pre-game needs, national anthem singers, promotional contests during game and halftime events
Serve as a liaison with Pepsi Promotions and place orders with Pepsi as needed
Distribute Pepsi products to team and officials during games
Support the internal and external operations of the SLCC Athletics department
Attend department meetings as needed
Hold regular office hours
Play key role in athletic department presence at campus events
Assist in Media Relations as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
High school graduate or GED 18 years or older
Ability to work nights, weekends and occasional holidays
Preferred Qualifications
1-2 years athletic or marketing background
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Good communication skills

Must be able to lift 30 lbs
Complete college mandatory staff training
Work flexible hours
Report to work on time
Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College.
Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities.
