The UC Irvine Transgenic Mouse Facility (TMF) provides services for the design, production, breeding, storage and analysis of genetically modified mice. The facility supports investigators at UC Irvine as well as a large number of other universities and commercial entities throughout the USA that conduct biological and biomedical research.
Under the direction of the TMF Scientific Director, the successful applicant will perform duties required for production of genetically modified mice. The duties include:
A terminal degree (or equivalent degree) or ten or more years of experience demonstrating expertise in the relevant specialization. At least three years of experience in microinjection with demonstrated ability to produce genetically modified mice in an efficient and reproducible manner.
