EXPERIENCE
A minimum of one year in a clinical or customer service position, preferably in a health care setting. Knowledge and understanding of health insurance plans preferred. Must be able to respond knowledgeably to a range of patient issues for both contracted and non-contracted payers, including government and non-government payers. Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft, scheduling software and electronic medical records (EPIC or equivalent). Understands nuances to payer systems and escalates issues as needed.
