About the role:
Come build with us! The events team is looking for a creative, driven, partner obsessed manager, for events & awards sponsorships at Morning Brew. This new role is primarily responsible for helping to define our event sponsorship strategy, shaping event sponsorship opportunities, and managing post-sale sponsorships relationships and integration across b2b events and awards.
Reporting to the director, events & awards, a successful candidate will be an independent, creative problem-solver, business savvy, with the ability to balance big picture strategy with near term deliverables.
What you'll do:
- Collaborate with director, events & awards to ideate, develop, and execute innovative sponsorship activations. Working closely with her to manage and evaluate incoming sponsorship inquiries from the Content Strategy Marketing and Branded Content teams.
- Maintain all event sponsorship relationships working in close collaboration with senior events and programming managers.
- Oversee the fulfillment of event and awards sponsorships contractual obligations. Serving as a partner to the account management team to ensure all client expectations are met.
- Manage sponsor messaging and ensure sponsor brand guidelines are followed, working with senior programming manager and creative studio partner on any sponsored content segments, remarks and activations.
- Lead event portion on all client calls, create call agenda, invite additional parties as needed.
- Become a trusted partner for other teams and respective business units.

- Excellent onsite presence.
- Work with events managers to maintain and update event websites with sponsor and exhibit information.
- Assist in planning and execution of ancillary sponsor events/receptions (e.g., secures venue, menu selection, arranges transportation, creates guest lists and invitations, tracks RSVP’s and prepares name badges as needed)
- Maintain digital art files for corporate logos, banner ads, videos.
- Be an enterprising, entrepreneurial, and productive team contributor, constantly and eagerly identifying new means of innovation to grow. Morning Brew’s impact with all constituents in advance of, on-site, and following each and every event produced.
About you:
- You have 4+ years of sponsor marketing experience. Experience in media is a plus.
- Experience with both virtual and in-person events
- Ability to travel and work evenings if/when necessary
- Ability to manage multiple projects and sponsors simultaneously
- Strong organizational skills, with a solid ability to focus on the details as much as the big picture
- Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on customer service to ensure seamless communication across internal teams as well as external vendors and partners
- Team Player: You take satisfaction in the success of something larger than yourself and are always willing to lend a hand
- Self-Starter: You are enthusiastic about owning your own projects and have an entrepreneurial spirit with a track record of taking initiative
