We are looking for an experienced technical SEO manager to help build the foundation for future organic traffic growth and lead our SEO team on the revenue marketing team. The revenue marketing team is responsible for driving inbound traffic, trials, demos, and leads through our website, paid and organic digital marketing channels, and other marketing initiatives. This is an opportunity to have a material impact on the performance of these top of funnel marketing metrics by improving our website's organic rank and attracting a higher volume of users that are interested in learning about, trialing, and... ultimately subscribing to our product. As an SEO Manager, you will develop and manage the SEO roadmap and vision for driving organic growth through the website (sproutsocial.com). You will also oversee an SEO team that will help execute on this vision and ongoing SEO content development and optimizations. This role is highly collaborative, so we're looking for someone with proven experience achieving results in collaboration with other disciplines. You and your team will partner with other cross-functional teams at Sprout to drive website traffic growth, including content, product marketing, social media, web development, and marketing analytics. We are looking for someone that has direct experience building and executing SEO and inbound marketing strategies and has a strong understanding of technical SEO, including on- and off-page optimizations. The ideal candidate is proficient in SEO tools like Ahrefs, SEMRush, Moz STAT Tool, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics. They are comfortable leveraging data to inform content recommendations and long-term SEO planning and are also passionate about measuring results and identifying opportunities for optimization. In your previous experience, you've been responsible for driving SEO strategy and planning that led to improved rankings and traffic. You have worked on high performing, lead generation-focused websites and understand the SaaS sales funnel. You have strong business acumen, strategy and planning skills, a bias for action, and a passion for analysis. You're detail-oriented and have the ability to leverage analytics and CRM tools to prioritize and make data-driven SEO decisions. These are the minimum qualifications that our hiring team is looking for in this role:

years of overall marketing experience with 3
years of experience in an SEO management position Demonstrated ability developing, executing, and optimizing technical SEO strategies that improve rankings and drive traffic. Strong analytical skills, proficient in SEO tools (i.e. Ahrefs, SEMRush, Moz STAT, Google Search Console), Web Analytics (i.e. Google Analytics) and CRM tools (i.e. Salesforce), and confident leveraging data to make decisions. Additionally, these are the preferred qualifications that would indicate a particularly strong candidate:
B2B SaaS marketing experience and/or strong understanding of SaaS customer lifecycle and digital demand generation Understanding of keyword research, SEO content strategy and optimization, on- and off-page SEO, and overall understanding of the technical factors that go into organic rankings. Within 1 month, you will Learn about and be trained on Sprout's marketing funnel and current website performance Partner with the Director of Performance Marketing to set initial priorities and align on expectations for your role Work with the performance marketing team to get on-boarded and understand past and present SEO performance initiatives and strategies Get to know everyone on the revenue marketing team and have a clear understanding of team goals and objectives Meet with other key partners in content, paid media, social media, product marketing, and web development to learn about the scope of their work and the various SEO projects they have participated in Participate in weekly stand ups and discuss the progress of current projects Within 3 months, you will Perform ongoing SEO keyword research and content performance analysis Have a grasp on overall SEO performance and start to identify opportunities to improve on- and off-page SEO. Become familiar with the data in our SEO tools, like Ahrefs, SEMRush, Moz STAT, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics and Google Search Console, to identify performance issues and opportunities Begin developing a high-level SEO strategy and growth roadmap Start building relationships with content team and gain a clear understanding of the content development process at Sprout Lead day-to-day SEO strategy for your team. You'll identify opportunities, develop plans, and begin executing against goals Measure and report on performance of ongoing SEO initiatives Within 6 months you will Establish, document, and socialize the process for SEO growth at Sprout Develop short- and long-term SEO growth strategies to further improve technical and content performance across the website Work to ensure project prioritization builds progress on larger, key initiatives while also delivering quarterly incremental revenue goals Facilitate quarterly roadmap planning for your team and represent the plan to the rest of Sprout's marketing teams, including executive leadership Partner with cross-functional teams to implement new initiatives. See a high impact project through from start-to-finish. You'll assume ownership for the results of your team's projects and how you learn from them Regularly report on results and impact of ongoing SEO initiatives and optimizations Within 12 months you will Begin owning your team's performance against KPIs Have an advanced knowledge of our techstack and the tools needed for performance analysis and drive effective SEO planning and decision making Develop a deep understanding of Sprout's customer segments and how to attract these users through organic search Build on your developing customer/industry expertise and take firm ownership of your team's strategy. Act as the expert on SEO growth, start identifying opportunities and generating hypotheses on advanced optimization initiatives. Consistently measure, analyze, and communicate SEO performance. Proactively develop and execute optimization strategies that improve organic rankings, drive traffic, and ultimately result in on-site engagement, trials, demos, leads, and revenue Possess a very strong understanding of the B2B SaaS model and how they relate to our SEO strategy. Understand where to prioritize efforts to make the most impact in the marketing funnel Collaborate effectively across the organization to improve Sprout's website experience as it relates to organic traffic Surprise us! Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
